I returned from New York yesterday afternoon and had not a chance to post anything on the Nug until just now. I am glad that I finally had the chance to get a bunch of photos out of my camera, including photos to the Toyota Grand Prix, our sightseeing tour of Los Angeles, and more photos of my trip to New York.

I love that HDR stuff. Are you still doing the 3-exposure thing or have you switched to using RAW data? What's your HDR "pipeline"? How long does it take you to create an image like these?
Larry, I am still using three separate exposures which produces better results than simply shooting one RAW image. Which is good for me because my camera does not shoot in RAW mode. I try to shoot the three photos at the highest Automated Exposure Bracketing (AEB) range (±2 f-stops).
The hardest part of taking these photographs while on vacation is not having a tripod, since I always forget it. As such, I have to place the camera on a stable surface and hold it steady with my hand against a wall, or against a window.
As far as how long it takes to process them, it takes about 10-15 seconds to render each one of them using Photomatix Pro. I am glad you like them. Check out the full set to see a couple more HDR composites from the trip.
these photos are insanity! you should show your work at a downtown gallery.
Hi Fabian,
I love these!! Thanks so much for posting!!
Can't wait for my trip in a few weeks.
