Eagles Video Still

The crew of a television show in St. Louis, filmed a segment on eagles but had technical difficulties with their wireless microphone set. Most of the filmed footage was unusable, as the questions posed to Aileesha Breedlove, the African-American woman wiping a tear in the segment, were inaudible. This hilarious video with a South Park style song is what they came up with to try and salvage the segment. It took them about four hours to do it from concept to finish. Oh, and it actually aired. Rock on. Via BoingBoing.

Here are the lyrics for this funny ass song:

Eagles, Eagles are so free
So spread your wings and fly
Can’t you see there’s one in a tree, and it’s looking at me
Now, oh so still in the air

There’s an eagle who’s soul’s been laid bare

And a girl down below, and a guy who will share some info…

Eagles are awesome so get rid of that frown
This one had a nightmare but they’re calming him down
But mostly they’re like this: giant fowl who love kids
Beauty of a country wrapped up in a bird
The apple of your eye, the lion of the sky
Oh they’ll make you cry, but you’ll be alright, here’s that guy…

Eagle merled, eagle tail, eagle babies in the palm of my hand
Eagle mustache, eagle snow, eagle’s know when it’s cold
They’re so smart-er, than a lark, er, they’re like people living in some trees (echo)

Eagles are animals, animal birds
Birds have feelings, just like mine an’ yours, U.S.A
U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A
With freaky sweet eyesight they can spot them some fish
From two miles away they can spot them some fish
In the heartland of freedom over great River Road
It’s the beauty of a country wrapped in a bird
Gonna watch him fly, gonna touch the sky
Gonna wrap him up in the stars and stripes, U.S.A.

  1. My favorite part of the video:

Eagles are awesome so get rid of that frown
This one had a nightmare but they’re calming him down

The bird in that frame looks like it’s going to rip the eyes out of the guy standing on the left, yet he’s smiling. That’s a smile of fear. I almost peed my pants when I saw this for the first time and that scene still cracks me up.
