Ken Lay suffered a massive heart attack in his Aspen home early this morning and died. He survived the trial that found him guilty of one of the biggest corporate frauds in history, but he died before his scheduled September sentencing date. No justice here. Justice would have been for him to die in prison. Ken Lay died in debt due to his conviction but still lived as a very wealthy man, as evidenced by his death in one of his luxurious homes in Aspen. In sentencing, many speculated that it was likely that he was not going to Club Fed, but to a real federal pound-you-in-the-ass prison. Surely the thought of being a prison bitch was just too much for him to bear. Adios Kenny Boy, no presidential pardon for you.

Is he really dead? Instead of a presidential pardon, maybe dubya helped kenny fake his death and retire in some posh foreign resort.
Damn, that's a good point. If there's one person that can pull this off is the Dubya with the help of the CIA right? Wrong. I think we should put away the conspiracy theories because the incompetence of our government will always win. If the government can't get their shit together to get a few trucks filled with water and ice to the people of New Orleans in less than a week, they certainly can't fake a high profile death.
Or can they!?
Sadly, I think that Ken Lay died without so much as feeling a little remorse for his crimes. He put many people in the poor house but died in a posh Aspen mansion surely surrounded by those he loved. Some say his death was justice, but it would have been better had he served some prison time. Prison would have been better even if he would have eventually gotten a presidential pardon from his friend Dubya.
I think he committed suicide myself. This "heart attack" is a little too convenient for me. I would like to see the autopsy report for this guy. Maybe the government can change the "cause of death" on an autopsy report. Maybe.
In any case, there are a lot of theories on Ken Lay's death out there.
