Few stores in the city will be open for the launch of the Xbox 360 console tonight at midnight. Best Buy, where I am getting my console, will close tonight at its normal time and simply will open early tomorrow for those lined up to get one of the 40 non-pre-ordered consoles that will be sold there. People who pre-ordered will go to the store before it opens to the pubic to pick up their systems. Many stores are bracing for the onslaught and excitement is in the air.

Ah am SOOO pissed off... I pre-ordered from GameStop and got an automated phone call saying my pre-order won't arrive until JANUARY. So tomorrow I'm going to be first in line at our Costco, on the off chance they get some (not all Costco's will get them -- gee, think a _Hawaii_ Costco is going to be on the list?). Otherwise... Well, at least I won't be sitting around waiting for games to release...
Damn, that sucks. I just got a call from Best Buy confirming my order for pick up tomorrow morning between 6:00AM and 8:00AM. There's few things in life worth getting up that early for, and the Xbox 360 is one of them. Good luck at Costco!
SCORE! Not only did Costco have 23 units, but they didn't even have 23 people in line! There were at least 4-5 units still in the cage when I left (Ah! Hawaii!). Unfortunately, I'm on a huge f***ing deadline and can't afford to be distracted. My machine came with Kameo and I bought PGR3. See you online in a couple of days!
