While Brown was away, City Supervisor Chris Daly (pictured), was supposed to be the acting mayor of San Francisco for one day. He decided to use his temporary powers to appoint two vacancies in the city's Public Utilities Commission. The move has been criticized by many as a violation of trust between the mayor's office and the board of supervisors. It has also been described as political suicide by many polical insiders, since political opponents to Willie Brown typically don't prosper. Earlier this year, Brown became engaged in a yelling match with Supervisor Peskin and screamed, "You are full of shit! You don't know me, motherfucker, you don't know what a killer I am!" Deeyam! I wouldn't want to be Chris Daly right now--Willie knows Michael Corleone.
