I got some hate mail because I was opposed to the war. Let me clarify something, I was against the war before it started: I went to the protests on the weekends (when it didn’t affect traffic), I signed petitions against the war, I wrote letters to my congressman. I did all those things.

However, now that the bombs are dropping and the political shit has hit the proverbial fan, I support our troops even if I disagree with our President. I want us to kick ass as quickly as possible to minimize the loss of human life and have our troops come home safely.

That being said, it’s true I have liberal views, but I welcome opposing viewpoints. We have the freedom to express our views and can agree to disagree. Let’s collectively hope that the Iraqis will be able to do the same someday.

  1. I really don’t understand why people lambast you when you have a different point of view. Different opinions are a basis for discussion. Instead, people who don’t know any better use it as an opportunity to display their ignorance. Absolutely unbelievable.

Sorry your viewing public has nothing better to do, Fabe.

  2. If others disagree with you, I don’t understand why they did not post a comment here…

I am opposed to the war.

I am also supportive of our troops. The people in our military didn’t know that a dumb-ass mother-fucker named Dubya was going to be appointed to the presidency (thanks to the supreme court). They did not know that Dubya was going to make them go to war and kill Iraqis. Our troops are there. They have no choice but to do what they are ordered to do.

I have been quietly opposing the war. I have not marched in protest, nor have I signed any petittions, etc. (I haven’t been protesting in public because I don’t want my FBI file to get any bigger than it already is.) I would have been there in the peaceful protests before war began. But now that war has begun, two things are clear to me. The pre-war protests did not work to sway Dubya and our troops and Iraqis are still going to die. The people who are still protesting are not going to end the war sooner by smashing police car windows. I’m all for PEACEFUL protest but what were those stupid-ass mother-fuckers thinking when they smashed police cars??? Who the fuck do you think pays for those windows mother-fucker?

I was going to write more but I have things to do, places to go, and people to see….
