Melissa and I returned to San Francisco after spending four days in Chicago. We were really impressed with the city, particularly the housing prices, since 2-Bedroom luxury condos downtown start around $200k. much cheaper than San Francisco. If we were willing to put up with a little snow it wouldn't be a bad place to be. Anyway, I'll post photos from the trip as soon as I get a chance, most likely tomorrow.

"a little snow" ....yeah, right.
You won't last through the first winter. This Californian will never again live in Chicago. 30 degrees below zero with wind chill....looking for the car that's parked on the street, buried in 5 feet of snow....then shoveling the car out of the snow....giving up on the car and walking 10 blocks to the train station with icicles growing out of your nose....walking home from the grocery store and finding that the half-gallon jug of milk has frozen during your 10 minute walk outside. Not to mention how you step into the 5 ft wide, 3 ft deep ice puddle covered in snow as you cross the street. (Can you say "Ground Hog's Day"?)
It's just not right when people die in the winter because it's too cold and die in the summer because it's too hot.
live in CHICAGO???
dude - u need to ask carmen about that.
personally, i could never. that wind would give me a bad hair day everyday.
=P
and what about those 3 ft deep puddles... !
